Field notes Vol. 178 documents Nathaniel Lord Britton's botanical collecting in Jamaica in 1908 on a New York Botanical Garden expedition, with Elizabeth Gertrude Knight Britton and Charles Arthur Hollick. It is comprised of a list of specimen numbers 1721-2856, collected February 28-April 10, 1908 in Jamaica. The notebook includes dates and locations, and entries have very brief descriptive information on the plant and/or habitat. Most entries do not have the full plant name. The last few pages of the notebook contain a draft of a letter and miscellaneous notes
